California Mayors Cyber Cup Trophy Presentation
Troy Tech Support, a student CyberPatriot team of Troy High School, will present the California Mayors Cyber Cup trophy to Mayor Jesus Silva on Tuesday, April 16, where the trophy will remain on display at the mayor’s office until next year’s competition to spread awareness of cybersecurity education among the community.
California Cyberhub hosted the California Mayors Cyber Cup, an annual cybersecurity competition for middle and high school students, on Feb. 23. Troy High School’s Troy Tech Support won first place of the Orange County regional competition and took home gold medals, scholarships donated by Transmosis (each valued at nearly $5,000) and the mayor trophy.
On Tuesday, April 16, the Troy Tech Support team will present the trophy to the Mayor of Fullerton during a city council meeting, where the community will learn about the importance of cybersecurity and the value of working toward the goal of connecting youth to cybersecurity technical careers.
