SUMMARY:Windborne on April 30 @7:30pm
DESCRIPTION:Hailed as “the most exciting vocal group in a generation\,” internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble Windborne is known for their stunningly powerful arrangements and their ability to shift effortlessly between drastically different styles of traditional music within the same concert. While their musical knowledge spans many continents and cultures\, they remain deeply rooted in the American singing traditions they have embodied since childhood. Praised for “the purity of their voices\, strength of their material\, and attention to detail in their arrangements\,” Lynn Rowan\, Will Rowan\, Lauren Breunig\, and Jeremy Carter-Gordon share a vibrant energy onstage. Their connection to each other and to the music is clearly evident. They educate as they entertain\, telling stories about the music and explaining the characteristics and stylistic elements of the traditions in which they sing. \nThis performance will be held indoors.\n• Concert tickets are will-call style\, so there are no physical tickets. If you bought your ticket online or over the phone\, simply show up and give us the name you used for your purchase.\n• A beer and wine bar will be available.\n• Parking is FREE in The Muck lot.
