PFAS, Chemicals Of Emerging
Concern. Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl
substances, otherwise known as
PFAS, are a group of synthetic
chemicals that have been manufactured and used in many everyday consumer products since the
1940s. They have been detected in local groundwater supplies across the country, including our own, and have become
chemicals of emerging concern
to the public’s health. Join
Council Member Zahra and
guests to get the facts about
PFAS, new state and federal
regulations, local clean up
efforts and its cost, and more.
