Black History Parade and Unity Festival in Anaheim

For the first time, Fullerton officially joined other OC cities in this long-standing parade and brought out some of Fullerton’s finest on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Including the parade’s big hit, Fullerton Firefighter’s 1962 vintage fire truck joined the Fullerton Police, Public Works, Fullerton city officials, Fullerton Joint Union High School Trustee Dr. Vicki Calhoun, Orange County Supervisor Doug Chaffee, Senator Josh Newman, and Congressmember Lou Correa.
After the parade at the Unity Festival, Councilmember Ahmad Zahra presented a certificate of recognition on behalf of the City of Fullerton to the Orange County Heritage Council for organizing a great celebration and their dedication to building unity and awareness of black history in Orange County.

  1. Loved it! Felt the warm embrace of our Red, Black and Green Flag as I advanced along the parade route. This pictorial history was a wonderful opportunity to see the parade. Thank your photographer for her or his work.
