Mom hopes for daughter’s safe return – California teen missing

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing 16-year-old Da’kera Jones.

Da’kera went missing from her home in Los Angeles, California, on April 1, 2024. Da’kera’s mom, Diane Hall, last saw Da’kera cooking in the kitchen before leaving for work that afternoon. At some point, while Hall was at work, Da’kera left the home. This was nearly two months ago, and Da’kera is still missing.

Hall recently shared with NCMEC that Da’kera has never gone missing before, raising serious concerns for her safety. She added that just a few days before Da’kera vanished, they had a fun mother-daughter-day together and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The Hall family will not stop searching until they bring Da’kera home, where she belongs.

Da’kera is described as 5’8″ and weighs 170 lbs. She has brown eyes and black hair. She is believed to be in the Long Beach, California, area or travel out of state.

In an effort to bring more attention to Da’kera’s case, her poster is being featured on the Ring’s Neighbors app  as a part of a partnership between NCMEC and Ring. This feature reaches millions of users, providing real-time assistance in locating missing children.

If you have any information about Da’kera or her disappearance, please contact NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or the Los Angeles Police Department (California) at 1-877-275-5273.
