Observing the Future is a student magazine that incoming Troy High School Senior Edyn Mai created with a team of volunteers this summer. The magazine is focused on highlighting and supporting the youth of Fullerton. Created out of a lack of artistic and journalistic opportunities for students, the magazine showcases many students’ design and writing capabilities. The team comprises editors, writers, social media managers, and website designers, each student playing a vital role in the magazine’s success.
The magazine editors work extremely hard to edit the articles stylistically and grammatically. Editors also must have a keen eye for design as they lay out their own articles, meaning they collect graphics, photos, and other design elements to elevate the article from a visual standpoint. Each editor is assigned to observe future writers, and the editor leads the writers on article topics and other important details.
For marketing the magazine, the social media team creates posts, and the website designer manages new and current pages of the Observing the Future website observingthefuture.carrd.co.
Observing the Future could not have been published without the incredible team of hardworking students. Each student dedicated their time to their roles, and they are truly the heart of Observing the Future. Here are the names of those who helped make this project a success: Erene Awad, Sara Gold, Ava Gomez, Samantha De Guzman, Erin Hong, Emma Kapur, Nala Kawji, Edyn Mai, Mosello Mohammad, David Montejo, Kaitlyn Nguyen, Phuong Nguyen, Sanaya Patel, Kailey Reichman, Jacob Rhodes, Kyla Talinio, Aarna Vaiyapuri, Jashvita Veeramalla, and Tegan Yoon

This is great! But wish there was a live link to the magazine – I don’t see one.
