Other cities around us have already gone for the penny tax hike or are also thinking about doing it. If we want good streets and infrastructure and services they have to be paid for. Just complaining about them hasn’t worked. One cent is reasonable.
We could also charge bars a rate to make up for the $1.6 million in cleanup required downtown per year.
