Dana Carleton Clor 1949-2024
Dana Carleton Clor, a beloved Fullerton resident and successful businessman, passed away peacefully on August 7th at the age of 74. A pillar of the community, he was known for his infectious optimism and deep faith.
Born in Batavia, New York, in 1949, Dana moved to California with his family as a young boy. After serving as a youth minister in San Diego, he pursued a career in real estate. His dedication and expertise led him to serve as President of the Board of Realtors in the late ’80s.
Dana was an active member of the Influencers, a Christian men’s fellowship, where he shared his faith with enthusiasm. Outside of work and his spiritual life, he enjoyed playing golf and taking fishing trips with his buddies. He loved watching classic westerns and two-stepping to country music.
He approached each day with a zest for life and was known for his charisma and contagious smile. Following a stroke last September, Dana fought bravely with the unwavering support of his longtime love, Helen. The Lord called him home in the early morning as he held hands with Helen and his eldest daughter.
Dana is survived by his loving partner Helen, his sisters Diane and Denise, his son Ben, daughters Melissa and Susana, his grandchildren Jack, Jayce, Bradley, Charlotte, Lincoln, Mackenzie, and loved ones Ron, Gregg, Mike, Tyler, Ysa and Joey. Dana was preceded in passing by his parents, his brother Donn, and his daughter, Sara.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 28th at 10 am at Fullerton Free Church in the Chapel with a lunch reception to follow in the Commons. We encourage those attending to wear blue, Dana’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Dana to the OC Chapter at http://www.influencers.org.
