October 5 & 6 from 11 am – 6 pm
621 S. Avenue 21, Los Angeles
The Brewery Artwalk at 621 S Avenue 21 LA CA 90031 celebrates over 40 years of welcoming the public to this twice-yearly event. This is not your average Artwalk. It is a unique opportunity to explore the campus – a fascinating jumble of former industrial buildings once home to Edison Electric Steam Power Plant, Los Angeles Brewing Company, Eastside Brewery, and later Pabst Blue Ribbon. Now, it’s home to over 500 artists and creatives, many of whom will open their studios during the weekend.
While some of our talented resident artists are painters, photographers, printmakers, and sculptors, others have been experimenting with Immersive 3D environments, LED light sculpture, high-tech and high-class furniture design, contemporary fashion, environmental design, new media, digital and performance art. The artists of the Brewery stretch the meaning of art in different directions but are often on the leading edge of the Los Angeles art scene.
Meeting the artist in their studio is a wonderful way to fall in love with original art. Whether you are an art collector, connoisseur, or curator, want to buy unique fine art gifts, learn about the community’s history, or discover how art, science, and technology are linked, come enjoy an exciting free afternoon in the heart of LA’s art scene. There is free parking right across the street, as well as street parking.
This Fall, you can look forward to many new artists, food trucks, a beer garden hosted by our very own Barbara’s restaurant, and a peaceful, engaging environment. This is the go-to art event in Los Angeles.
The Brewery Artwalk Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Organization. Our mission is to produce, organize, and facilitate the recurring biannual event known as the Brewery Artwalk. The Brewery Artwalk is a free, educational public art event designed to create an alternative venue for art exposure. It also allows artists at the Brewery to open their studios and connect with the general public, the art industry, other working artists, and the community. Families, children, students, and individuals are encouraged to view the artists’ work, meet with the artists in person, and engage in dialogue about the art. The event is a unique community service that is open and free to all.
