As fall approaches and the weather becomes bearable, it is the perfect time of the year to get outside and go on runs. Troy High School students Dylan Ardaya and Ethan Han and Sunny Hills student Fernando Muñoz have collaborated to create a community running club.
Fullerton Coyotes Club is looking for people of all ages who are striving for a healthier lifestyle. Even if you’re a beginner who gets a cramp after running for a few minutes, they are dedicated to educating runners of all levels and serving as guides along your running journey.
Runs start every Sunday evening at Laguna Lake, which provides perfect scenery with fall leaves and a lake to complement your run. From there, they run for 3-5 miles along the trails of Fullerton. In the past, they have done a run through Downtown Fullerton with the Fullerton Run Club and the Buena Park cross-country team.
Since the Lucy Van Der Hoff Trail is currently in need of maintenance, as Emerson Little noted in a recent Observer article, the club plans to give back to the trails and is also starting trail cleanups. You can check out their Instagram @fullertoncoyotesclub, which previews their runs and posts informative videos about the pros and cons of different running shoes and running heart rates. If you’re interested in being part of their motivating community, you can RSVP on their website: https://fullertoncoyotesclub.com.
