Fullerton Police Investigate Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping Case

Fullerton Police received a report on December 11, 2024, from an adult female claiming she was the victim of aggravated assault, sexual assault, and kidnapping that originated in Fullerton. The victim informed officers that she had met the suspect just days earlier through mutual acquaintances. According to the report, the suspect was armed with multiple firearms during the alleged incidents.

Detectives quickly launched an investigation and identified the suspect as 30-year-old Arturo Urbina, a Los Angeles resident. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued for Urbina.

On the evening of December 16, 2024, the ATF Orange County Violent Crime Task Force located Urbina in the Los Angeles County area. They enlisted the help of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Aero Bureau and the California Highway Patrol to apprehend the wanted man.

Urbina fled the scene, leading officers on a vehicle pursuit that ended when he crashed into a pole in Torrance. After the collision, Urbina attempted to escape on foot but was apprehended shortly after. Fortunately, the crash did not involve any other vehicles.
