Developed in collaboration with experts from Cal State Fullerton’s Departments of Child and Adolescent Studies and Human Services over the span of two and a half years, the exhibition boasts a groundbreaking new mobile exhibition titled “Your Baby’s Amazing Brain” provides a free interactive and educational experience centered on the crucial early development of children from birth to age five. Measuring an impressive 48 feet, the exhibition features 15 interactive displays available in multiple languages, highlighting the importance of nurturing young minds.
Greta Nagel, Ph.D., founder and Board President of the Museum of Teaching and Learning (MOTAL), expressed concern over the U.S. education system’s focus on older students. She highlighted a gap in awareness among parents and caregivers regarding the significant impact of their interactions on the cognitive development of young children.
Founded in 2007, MOTAL has a history of producing educational exhibits, including notable displays like “A Class Action,” which chronicled the landmark desegregation case of Mendez v. Westminster School District, an influential moment in Orange County’s education history.
