Orange County Power Authority Launches Art Contest for Young Creatives

The Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) is calling upon young artists in grades K-6 to showcase their creativity in an exciting new art contest aimed at fostering environmental awareness and action. The contest, themed “Picturing A Better Tomorrow,” encourages students to envision and illustrate their ideas for a sustainable future.

Participants are invited to create artwork that reflects innovative ways to protect the planet, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and promote renewable energy sources. The initiative seeks to inspire children to think critically about climate change and to express their vision for a cleaner, greener world.

OCPA emphasizes the importance of collective efforts in combating climate change and encourages young artists to convey messages of hope and collaboration through their work. As the next generation approaches critical environmental challenges, this contest aims to empower them to be proactive stewards of the environment for future generations.

Submissions will be accepted until February 18, and winners will be announced shortly thereafter. This initiative not only provides a platform for artistic expression but also serves as a reminder of the vital role that creativity plays in envisioning a sustainable future.
