Tens of thousands of anti-ICE marchers across the US protested Trump administration arrests and mass deportations of immigrants.
In LA, according to reports from local Channel 4, KCAL, NBC, two peaceful protest marches of thousands ‘mostly women and young people” shut down both sides of the 101 freeway and another assembled around city hall.

•Trump order to impose 25% tariffs on products coming from Canada, Mexico, and an additional 10% (on top of already in place 30% to 100% tariffs) on products from China takes effect at midnight unless blocked. The action is expected to cause escalated prices for US customers. Those countries promised to retaliate by imposing similar tariffs on US.
• Under Trump Administration DOGE leader Elon Musk takes over US Treasury Department and dismantling begins of USAID which supports humanitarian aid in emergency health threats around the world since 1961.

•Trump issued two executive orders targeting K-12 schools. One would block federal funding for schools that protect transgender students and teach critical race theory (CTR is a college level class). The order also promotes patriotic education. The other order redirects taxpayer funding of public schools to private school vouchers.
•Over 100 Palestinians including 24 children were freed by Israel as part of the ceasefire deal. The UN is calling for 2500 Palestinian children to be evacuated from Gaza for immediate medical treatment.
•German citizens flooded the streets in protest of a far-right fascist group attempting to take over the government.
•Quakers sue Trump for his order allowing ICE raids of schools, hospitals, shelters and religious institutions including places of worship.
