In a devastating traffic accident on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at approximately 10:50 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to reports of a collision on the 600 block of W. Commonwealth Ave.

Upon their arrival, authorities found two vehicles involved: a gold 2004 Toyota Corolla and a white 2009 Lexus, both exhibiting extensive damage to their front ends. Emergency services from Fullerton Fire were quick to act, transporting both drivers to a local trauma center for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, the driver of the Toyota was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the Toyota was traveling westbound on W. Commonwealth Ave. when it veered into the eastbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with the Lexus. As of now, officials have not determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.

The identity of the deceased driver will be disclosed later by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
