On Saturday, April 19, a rally will take place from 3 to 4 PM PDT in San Juan Capistrano (SJC), aimed at raising awareness about illegal deportations and advocating for justice for both citizens and undocumented immigrants. Organized by the Democratic Women of South Orange County and SJC Indivisible, the event will convene at 32051 Camino Capistrano, specifically in front of Ross Dress for Less.
The rally organizers express grave concerns over recent incidents where individuals have been forcibly taken from their homes and public spaces by unidentified individuals, leading to detentions without due process. “Our goal is to wake up the public and demand accountability for these actions,” said a representative from the group.
Participants are encouraged to prepare for a peaceful demonstration. Attendees should bring handmade signs, water, and personal items such as hats and chairs for comfort. The focus of the rally will be on issues surrounding deportations, the lack of justice for those wrongfully deported, and ongoing constitutional crises linked to the current administration’s policies.
Suggested slogans for protest signs include: “No Judge, No Jury, No Justice!” and “Due Process Is Not Optional!” Organizers emphasize the importance of remaining on message, highlighting themes of due process and the imperative to adhere to court orders.
