Rally Against Medicaid Cuts in Anaheim on April 22

A rally is set to take place on Tuesday, April 22, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM PDT at 180 N Riverview Dr, Anaheim, CA, in response to proposed cuts to Medicaid that threaten healthcare coverage for millions of Californians. Organized by disability advocates, families, and community members, the event aims to protest the $880 billion in cuts suggested by Congress, which critics argue are intended to fund tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.

The proposed cuts could result in over 15 million Californians, including children and individuals with disabilities, losing vital healthcare services. Organizers are calling on the community to come together to implore three Republican Congressmembers to vote against these detrimental measures.

Participants will rally under the banner, “Medicaid Cuts Hurt People with Disabilities,” urging Congresswoman Kim and others to prioritize the health and well-being of vulnerable populations over tax breaks for the wealthy. The event seeks to raise awareness, mobilize support, and advocate for the protection of essential healthcare services.

Community support is crucial as attendees work to defend Medicaid and ensure that the voices of those affected are heard by policymakers.
