“While Donald Trump throws himself a made-for-TV military parade in Washington, communities across the country are rising up to remind the world where real power lives: not in spectacle, but in solidarity to defend democracy and reject authoritarianism.
NO KINGS is a nationwide day of action sparked by a growing movement to stand up to the corruption, extremism, and authoritarian politics of Trump and his allies. We’ve watched them crack down on free speech, defy the courts, target immigrant communities, and strip away rights—while serving the interests of billionaires. We’re not gathering to feed his ego. We’re building a movement that leaves him behind.
This is more than a protest—it’s a stand for our future, our freedoms, and our community.
The flag doesn’t belong to Trump. It belongs to us. This country doesn’t belong to a king—it belongs to the people. Let’s show what democracy looks like: united, visible, and grounded in collective purpose.
Bring your signs, sunscreen, water—and your voice. This is a peaceful, family-friendly event. All are welcome.”

We visited the Anaheim event around 3:30pm to hopefully find some parking  before its scheduled start at 4pm  –  but we were way too late.  There were already about 5,000 people in, around, and walking to the park from as far away as the shopping center on Orangethorpe in Fullerton.  Lots of traffic and beeps from supporters in vehicles going by and music.

Because of the parking problem we went back to the Fullerton demonstration. There were about fifty people there when we were including families, young kids, older kids, parents and some elders. One young woman was making and offering beautiful beaded bracelets to participants  another young man was offering bottled water. At one point most of the crowd took off from in front of City Hall and headed towards  downtown Fullerton.

The event made you wonder how we can let the terrible things happening in our country continue. Below are some of the photos we got –  unfortunately not all came out.
