Fullerton College Hosts Second Annual Parking Lot Prints Event

For the second consecutive year, the Fullerton College Art Department transformed its parking lot into a vibrant hub of creativity with the recent Parking Lot Prints event. Held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, this one-day-only, free community event showcased the talents of over 50 zine artists and printmakers.

Parking Lot Prints aimed to foster artistic collaboration and engagement within the community. Attendees experienced a diverse array of zines, book arts, and printmaking demonstrations, providing a unique opportunity for artistic expression in a lively atmosphere.

In an exclusive interview, Todd Smith, a full-time faculty member who taught printmaking and 2-D Foundational Art at Fullerton College, along with Seija Rohkea, Art Gallery Technician at the college, shared insights into the history of this vibrant event. With plans set in motion, they eagerly took over the parking lot again, celebrating the artistry and innovation that defined the zine and printmaking communities.

The Fullerton College Art Department invited everyone to join in this celebration of creativity, connection, and the rich world of zines and printmaking. Attendees were encouraged not to miss the chance to engage with artists and experience the dynamic energy of Parking Lot Prints that summer.
