Legal Fund for Local Immigrant Family at Risk of Deportation

A local family and their three children are fighting for their lives and safety. The family is seeking legal asylum in the US after fleeing brutal persecution in their home country.

The father, an official in their town, stood up against a cartel attempting to take over the logging industry. That action made the family targets of threats, violence, and terror. The family managed to escape and came to the US to find safety. Unfortunately their first lawyer was not experienced in asylum cases and failed to include details that would have won them the right to stay in the US – as it is not safe for them to return to their home country.

Two of the children attend a Fullerton School District school where they are cherished classmates, friends of our children, and bright lights in our community.

The family is at risk of deportation. Our Mapache Mutual Aid group has hired a lawyer to fight their case. We know many of you have already given so generously in many ways, and we don’t expect you to give more.

We are simply hoping you can share the story and link below with your network or anyone who might be willing to make a tax-deductible donation to our legal fund. Every contribution helps no matter how small.

We deeply appreciate any and all support.
