Fullerton Police Officers responded on Monday, August 18, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, to the area of W. Houston Avenue and S. Roosevelt Avenue regarding a report of a male who had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male in the street suffering from several wounds consistent with an edged weapon.
Officers acted swiftly to administer life-saving measures to a victim who was subsequently transported to a local trauma center. Officials have confirmed the victim is expected to survive the incident.
The suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived, was quickly the subject of a broadcast alert by Fullerton police officers outlining descriptions and relevant information. Within thirty minutes, authorities successfully located and detained the suspect without further escalation.
The adult male suspect has been charged with attempted murder and weapons violations and is currently held at the Fullerton City Jail. Law enforcement officials recovered the weapon believed to be used in the assault during their investigation.
Authorities emphasized that this incident appears to be isolated, involving individuals who are known to each other, and they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety.
