Good Hands for One Honors Tutors at Annual Award Ceremony 2025

The Good Hands for One (GH4One) organization celebrated its dedicated volunteers during an uplifting award ceremony at the Fullerton Public Library on August 16, 2025. President Lena Ko and Vice President Lauren Kang welcomed attendees to honor the remarkable contributions of passionate tutors.

The event featured recognition awards from local officials, including Congressmember Lou Correa, Orange County Board of Supervisors Doug Chaffee, California State Senator Tom Umberg, California Assembly member Sharon Quirk-Silva, and representatives from the City of Fullerton. Fullerton School District Superintendent and Fullerton Library Award Director Judy Booth also participated in the celebration.

A long list of outstanding tutors was recognized, including Lena Ko, Ean Hwan Lee, Kate Kim, Philemon Yoon, Janie Ji-Eun Kim, Kate Park, Christopher Kim, Lauren Sebin Kang, Erin Kim, Dylan Jordan Kim, David Hwang, Ian Kim, Evan Joon Lee, Leah Jee, Benny Moon, Doyeon Lee, Ian Yedam Kim, Scott Jiwoo Lee, Daniel Hwang, Jacob Goo, Avery Loh, Luke Hong, Lael Kim, Sophia Jung, Allison Park, David Shin, Jasmin Mendez, Iman Murdock, Laila Murdock, Madison Solis, Ashley Mendez, Jacob Gonzalez, Max Fletcher, Declan Magill, Hernestina Molina, Philip Sanchez, Ruben Snachez, Galilea Olivar, Ethan Lee, Olivia Choi, Chloe Oh, Jashua Lee, Ryan Hahm, Jimin Ha, Benjamin Lee, Addison Kim, Jaynie Lee, Susan Kim, and Kaitlyn Chung, highlighting the impact of their service on countless young lives.

The ceremony enjoyed an orchestral performance by Remedy, which added a joyful spirit to the celebration.

Founded in 2013, GH4One is a nonprofit organization driven by the incredible energy of middle and high school volunteers committed to providing free math tutoring to underprivileged elementary students in grades two through six. Sessions primarily occur at the Fullerton Public Library, adapting to online formats during challenging times.

With unwavering support from the Fullerton Public Library, local parents, and the City Council, GH4One has transformed the lives of hundreds of children by nurturing their math skills and fostering community involvement. The organization has expanded its offerings to include summer English tutoring, with over 40 devoted tutors serving more than 40 students weekly.

Since late 2023, GH4One has resumed in-person tutoring sessions at the Fullerton Public Library, now held on the second level every Saturday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The organization enthusiastically seeks to recruit new high school and middle school tutors from the Fullerton area, ensuring every student receives guidance from a dedicated mentor.
