Residents near 3061 Madison are expressing increasing frustration as loud house parties continue to disrupt the neighborhood late into the night. Don Waterbury, a neighbor deeply affected by the disturbances, claims that the ongoing noise issues leave the surrounding community paying the price.
The latest incident began around 10:50 PM on August 24, 2025, when Waterbury reported hearing loud voices and shouting emanating from the property. Following his concerns, Lt. Emmanuel Pulido of the Fullerton Police Department assured him that efforts would be made to address the public disturbances. As of now, Lt. Daniel Castillo has taken over the situation.
Despite the residence claiming to be associated with a fraternity, local officials from California State University, Fullerton, have been unable to verify any affiliation with that organization, leading to suspicions that it may be operating independently.
In a detailed log of events, Waterbury noted the timeline of disturbances and his interactions with law enforcement. At 10:57 PM, he contacted Lt. Castillo to inform him of the noise, and at 11:06 PM, he approached two individuals at the residence to address the issue directly. He also reported to police that a large crowd, estimated between 50 and 100 people, gathered at the property, and the noise persisted.
Further complicating matters, Fullerton PD representatives indicated that a patrol would arrive only if no other emergencies were occurring simultaneously. This has raised concerns among affected residents, as there has been limited police intervention in the past; the last recorded instance was in June.
Waterbury’s attempts to garner support among other neighbors have been met with hesitance, as many choose not to complain formally. “It seems like few people want to get involved,” he lamented.
In an update around 12:13 AM, Sgt. Murphy from Fullerton PD communicated that officers had indeed arrived at the property, instructing the party to disband. He warned that if another noise complaint was received, a citation would be issued and Waterbury would need to sign a formal complaint.
For now, the neighborhood is left wondering how long they will continue to endure the disturbances caused by the rogue fraternity and what further actions law enforcement might take to ensure peace in their community.
