The California High-Speed Rail Authority is set to host an important update regarding the Los Angeles to Anaheim (LA-A) Project Section. Stakeholders and interested members of the public are invited to participate in this informative session, which aims to provide key insights into the progress and future developments of this significant transportation initiative. As the project moves forward, the Authority is eager to engage with the community and share updates on plans and timelines that will shape the high-speed rail experience in California.

The Authority continues to advance work to deliver the nation’s first high-speed rail system. The Los Angeles to Anaheim (LA-A) Project Section, an approximate 30-mile corridor, connects Los Angeles Union Station (LAUS) to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) by traveling along the existing Los Angeles to Anaheim rail corridor which serves both freight and passenger service.

The virtual community meeting will focus on providing information on the LA-A Preferred Alternative being studied as part of the Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIR/EIS). Project features highlighted at the meeting will include grade separations, future high-speed rail stations, Metrolink station relocations, light maintenance facility options, local safety improvements, and more. The Authority is finalizing technical studies and anticipates releasing the Draft EIR/EIS in late 2025. This meeting will also provide a preview to help navigate the public comment process once the document is released.

La Autoridad sigue avanzando en su labor para construir el primer sistema ferroviario de alta velocidad del país. La sección del proyecto LA-A, un corredor de aproximadamente 30 millas, conecta Los Ángeles Union Station (LAUS, en inglés) con el Centro Intermodal de Transporte Regional de Anaheim (ARTIC, en inglés) recorriendo el corredor ferroviario a lo largo de Los Ángeles y Anaheim, que transporta tanto carga como pasajeros.

La reunión comunitaria virtual se centrará en proporcionar información sobre la alternativa preferida de LA-A que se está estudiando como parte del Informe Preliminar de Impacto Ambiental/Declaración de Impacto Ambiental (EIR/EIS Preliminar, en inglés). Las características del proyecto que se destacarán en la reunión incluirán separaciones de nivel, futuras estaciones de tren de alta velocidad, reubicaciones de estaciones de Metrolink, opciones de instalaciones de mantenimiento ligero, mejoras de seguridad locales y más.
