City Council Approves New Members to Youth Advisory Committee

In a unanimous decision during the City Council meeting on October 21, 2025, councilmembers welcomed four new appointees to the Youth Advisory Committee. Deputy City Manager Daisy Perez and Mayor Fred Jung conducted interviews with a wide range of candidates before recommending Kate C. Yoon, Olivia Woo, Riya Gupta, and Alicia P. Hsieh for the positions.

These young advisors will join existing members Avery E. Boehm, Giulianna E. Nuncci, and Zeke W. Winters. The Youth Advisory Committee serves as an important advisory body that provides support and guidance on programs, projects, events, and initiatives concerning youth and children in the city.

Comprising 17 youth members from various schools, the committee aims to elevate the voices and interests of young people in community planning and decision-making processes. The inclusion of these new members is expected to enhance the committee’s impact and broaden its representation of youth perspectives across the city.
