The Pinta Writers Group is set to resume its monthly gatherings on the first Saturday of each month, offering a supportive space for individuals to create and send birthday and note cards filled with words of encouragement to members of the LGBTQ+ community who have expressed a desire to receive them. The event will kick off on January 3 from 9am to 12pm.
While the Pinta Writers Group provides plenty of cards, participants are encouraged to bring additional supplies such as stamps, stickers (especially those that are encouraging, affirming, non-religious, or rainbow-themed), and snacks to share with the group.
In an effort to ensure inclusivity and understanding, the organizers have prepared a recipient list that includes LGBTQ+ terms that some participants may find unfamiliar. A glossary of these terms and their meanings will be available during the gathering, and attendees are encouraged to review the information ahead of time.
The event welcomes individuals who share a passion for supporting the LGBTQ+ community and encourages participants to invite like-minded friends. Interested attendees are requested to RSVP by clicking here with a simple “yes” or “no” to help organizers with planning and ask for location and parking suggestions or call Donna at (714) 746-2418.
For those looking to make a positive impact through creativity and community engagement, the Pinta Writers Group’s monthly event promises to be a rewarding experience.
