As 2025 draws to a close, Patriots and Paws, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting veterans and active duty service members, reflects on a year of substantial impact. The organization provides essential home goods and furnishings at no cost to those who have served in the military across Southern California.
In times of need, when resources are stretched to cover basic necessities like food, healthcare, and rent, many veterans and active duty personnel turn to Patriots and Paws for support. The organization strives to help these individuals in difficult moments, offering critical items such as beds, bedding, kitchenware, and furniture, ensuring that families can gather around tables for meals and find comfort in their homes.
Over the past year, Patriots and Paws has witnessed significant growth, serving over 3,800 families—a notable increase from 3,025 families in 2024. This includes assistance provided through mobile warehouses to key military bases such as Pendleton, 29 Palms, Fort Irwin, and the Greater Los Angeles VA.
“The support we receive from the community—through volunteers and donations—truly makes a difference,” said a spokesperson for Patriots and Paws. “We are able to offer not just essential household items, but also the reassurance that our veterans and service members are not alone and that someone cares.”
As the organization looks forward to 2026, it hopes to continue expanding its reach and impact, ready to serve even more families in need. With each year, Patriots and Paws remains committed to uplifting those who have selflessly served the nation, fostering a sense of community and support for those who may be facing challenging times.
