CERT Training Classes Offer Hands-On Disaster Preparedness Starting in February

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will host its next training class starting on February 17, 2026, offering residents an interactive, hands-on approach to emergency preparedness. Designed to empower individuals and families, CERT training focuses on building the skills and confidence needed to respond effectively during disasters.

Classes cover a wide range of critical topics, including earthquake, fire, and hazard awareness; disaster emotional recovery; light search and rescue; terrorism awareness; disaster and medical operations; and team organization. Participants gain practical, real-world knowledge that prepares them to assist themselves, their families, and their neighbors during emergencies.

Recent wildfires throughout California and earthquakes serve as important reminders that emergencies do not come with advance notice. Preparation can make a life-saving difference. CERT training emphasizes readiness, resilience, and the importance of neighbors helping neighbors during crises.

Residents interested in strengthening their preparedness and contributing to a more resilient community are encouraged to participate. For more information, call (714) 446-1454 or email CERT@fullertonfire.org.

Get ready. Be prepared. Build resilience.
