UPDATE: Fullerton Police reported at 8:30pm, Friday Jan 23 that the final of eight suspects was taken into custody. Fullerton officers assisted with the traffic collisions and assisted the Anaheim Police Department in searching for the suspects.

Fullerton, Placentia and Anaheim Police are searching for eight robbery suspects who fled on foot after a pursuit ended in crashes at S. Lemon and E. Orangethorpe around 2:38pm and another at N. Euclid and W. Malvern at 2:43pm on Friday, January 23. Several cars were damaged in the crashes with minor to moderate injuries of innocent drivers reported. Fire Department medics were on scene.
Suspects are caught on surveilance video driving a van into Classic Jewelers in Anaheim Hills and robbing a reported $1 million from the store before fleeing into Fullerton in two vehicles with Anaheim Police in pursuit. Suspects in both crashes fled on foot after the crashes.
Due to the alert from FPD, Maple School in Fullerton was ordered to shelter in place and Golden Hills School was locked down.
Around 5pm five of the suspects were arrested by police who continue to search for the three other suspects involved. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
