  1. This came to mind as I reviewed the notes and public comments from the most recent City Council meeting. I was taken aback that the mayor of a city like Fullerton would address constituents in a manner that appeared dismissive and disrespectful. Such conduct suggests either a lack of commitment to the responsibilities of the role or, at minimum, a disregard for the trust and engagement required to serve effectively, and it ultimately undermines his ability to do meaningful good work for the community.

    • You are aware that most, if not all these folks complaining of which you speak are disrespectful to the majority of the council every time they open their mouths?
I don’t have much love for Jung, even though initially I had high hopes for him. Every time I have spoken, I have been paid attention to by all council members. Suppose you should consider the source before you go writing a piece like this without proper context.
Then again, this is the Observer, so no surprises here.

  2. 1. All council members are eligible for the same health benefits, not just the mayor.

    2. “ In Jung’s case, the affluent northwestern council district of Fullerton seems to permanently enjoy this side benefit.” please provide some examples for this claim.
