The Fullerton Collaborative will convene for a general meeting on Monday, March 9, that promises to foster connection and collaboration among community members dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Fullerton. The meeting, titled “Fullerton Trends: The Pulse of Community Health: Access, Enrollment, and Support Systems,” is set to take place at the Fullerton Public Library Conference Center, located at 353 W. Commonwealth Ave.
The event will begin with a pre-meeting networking session at 2:00 pm, providing attendees the opportunity to engage informally, exchange business cards, and build relationships before the official agenda starts at 2:30 pm.
Jay Williams, Chair of the Fullerton Collaborative and OC United, will open the meeting with a brief welcome. Following Williams’ introduction, Crystal Hermida, Outreach Coordinator for the Community Health Initiative of Orange County, will present insights into critical community health issues, particularly access to and enrollment in vital support systems.
The meeting will also feature a “Member Spotlight” segment, showcasing the Orange County Power Authority with a presentation from Community Engagement representative Nataly Morales Sandoval.
In addition, attendees can look forward to subcommittee reports highlighting impactful community initiatives. Leaders from various sectors, including Victoria Torres from A Million Dreams Consulting Group, James Kennedy from Pathways of Hope, Dave DeLeon representing the resident perspective, Debra Stout from the Fullerton Collaborative, and Linda Prieto of the Fullerton School District, will share updates on their respective areas of focus.
Lastly, the meeting will conclude with partner announcements, providing attendees with information on upcoming opportunities and events to further integrate and enhance community engagement.
This collaborative effort not only promises to be informative but also a catalyst for future initiatives to address community health challenges in Fullerton. Public participation is encouraged, as collective action is essential to building a brighter, healthier future for all residents.
