FREE Compost Giveaway on March 14 from 8 to 10:30 am

The City of Fullerton and Republic Services will be giving away compost for FREE on
- Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 8:00 am to 10:30 am (or until all the compost is distributed) at
- Independence Park is located at 801 W. Valencia Drive.
Please keep the back seat or trunk clear and bring a blanket or container to hold perforated compost bags, which Republic Services staff will distribute. There is a limit of six 25-pound bags per household. Residents must provide proof of Fullerton residency (California Driver’s License or utility bill). This event will be held rain or shine.
Compost enriches and builds healthy soil by adding nutrients and improving soil structure, reducing the need for chemical fertilizers. Healthy soil conserves water by retaining moisture and reducing soil compaction and runoff, ultimately promoting healthier plant growth and higher crop yields.
Complimentary compost giveaway opportunities are also available courtesy of Orange County Waste & Recycling by scheduling an online appointment with Valencia Greenery in Brea at https://www.oclandfills.com/compost. OC Waste & Recycling can be contacted at 714-834-4000 for further inquiries.
