Wayzgoose: Prints from the Fullerton College Art Collection

The Fullerton College Art Gallery presents a selection of fine art prints from the Fullerton College Art Collection. This will be the first exhibition that will feature all of the prints created at Fullerton College through their Artist in Residence program, exhibited along with other prints in their collection. There will be an opening reception for the exhibit on Thursday, September 5 from 5-7pm.

There will be prints available for purchase by Abel Alejandre, Lisa Congdon, Dimitri Hadzi, and Ynez Johnston, all produced as part of the college’s Artist in Residence program.

Traditionally a wayzgoose was a gathering held by master printers for their workmen to celebrate the end of the summer and marks the coming months of working by candlelight.

Today a wayzgoose is a term used to describe a celebration or festival where printmakers and book artists gather to share their handmade work and demonstrate their practices.

The exhibit will run through October 7th.

The Fullerton College Art Gallery is located in the 1000 building at Fullerton College, 321 E. Chapman Ave.
