Balance and Change: Getting Through the Tough Times

Some days are hard. Some are easier. Some are so hard that you wonder if you can even get through one more minute, much less a whole day! And yet we do. One moment at a time. One minute at a time. One day at a time.

There are times, though, that we may consider a different choice. A more permanent choice. The choice of suicide.

We all have different reasons for continuing on. Perhaps we have children. Perhaps we know how much we are loved. Perhaps we just trust that “This too shall pass.” These are all good reasons, as are a thousand more. Each of us has our unique reason why suicide cannot be our choice.

For those of you reading this who are not sure if you have a good enough reason to choose to continue on over suicide, it is time to find one. In fact, I will go back to what I said before, “This too shall pass.” Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. This is one of the most important things to remember. That intense emotion you are feeling right now, that you think will never end, will end. Please remember. Please choose to continue on.

Please call or text the National Suicide Prevention number: 988. You matter.
