Listos California has pulled together key information and resources to help support community leaders who are in a position to reach impacted communities to help them prepare, respond, and recover.
PREPARE
- Wildfire and wildfire smoke resources are available in 12 languages atlistoscalifornia.org/resources/ – Explore valuable resources (guides, videos, and posters) that can be shared with those in your community to prepare for wildfires.

- Prepare for power outages – even if you are outside active wildfire areas, there may be power disruptions. In addition to these practical tips, be sure to charge cars, cell phones, and portable radios before the power goes out.

- Use our updated Disaster Ready Guide as a tool to help you plan and follow important safety tips :

RESPOND
- Stay informed through trusted information sources – State and local government sites are updated regularly with the latest information
- Share So Cal Wildfire Social Media Kit in social channels, e-newsletters, and 1:1 communications – Our new social media toolkit is now available offering graphics, posts, and resources to help spread the word about steps to take to keep Californians safer during wildfire evacuation, in dangerous air quality and during power outages. The social kit is available in English and Spanish.

- Know the difference between evacuation warnings and orders – Knowing the difference saves lives. Use this flyer to share with those in affected areas.

- Shelters are available for those who have evacuated – By law, shelters are available for everyone for free regardless of your immigration status. A list of available shelters can be found here.
Recover
Governor Newsom has secured Federal support to help families recovering from the wildfires. FEMA individual assistance may include temporary housing, reimbursement for damage to your home, car, or for emergency expenses.
There are three ways to apply:
- Online at disasterassistance.gov
- Through the FEMA Mobile App
- Call the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362
