Tacos Puro Jalisco was broken into on February 7, 2025, by two individuals around 3 a.m. according to local authorities. The restaurant, located at 271 S. Gilbert St. was broken into on a Friday earlier this month. A man and woman were shown breaking in through the front door in security footage. The footage was also shared on social media by the restaurant’s owner, Abel Borrayo Jr.

That Friday, Fullerton Police Department (FPD) personnel responded to the reporter’s commercial burglary. According to Kristy Wells, FPD public information specialist, upon arrival officers found the front door’s glass window had been shattered. Officers also found surveillance footage during their investigation.

“The video shows a male and female suspect entering the business at approximately 3:00 AM on February 7th,” wrote Wells in an email. “The female suspect is described as {having} long red hair, wearing a black sweater with white lettering, blue jeans, a black beanie, and black and white shoes. The male is described as wearing {a} black jacket, a gray hoodie, dark jeans, and white shoes.”

The burglars were able to take around $400 in canned beer. According to Borrrayo Jr., no cash was taken, and the biggest expense in the incident will be replacing the broken  glass window

Also, according to Borrayo Jr., this is the first time they have been targeted in their 10-year stint at the location. Thus far, the investigation is ongoing and there have been no updates on suspects or arrests made in relation to this case, according to FPD.
