Fullerton Police Report Surge in Arrests

In a notable uptick in law enforcement activity, the Fullerton Police Department announced on FaceBook and Instagram that they made over 30 arrests during an unusually busy Thursday and Friday. Charges ranged from driving under the influence (DUI) and narcotics offenses to outstanding warrants and various other crimes. According to FPD Public Relations Officer Kristy Wells, there were 12 arrests on Thursday and 16 on Friday.

One of the incidents involved an auto burglary report, where a firearm was among the stolen items. Officers quickly developed leads pointing to a suspect housed in a local motel. Detectives took the lead on the investigation, ultimately recovering the stolen firearm as well as other items connected to different cases found in the suspect’s motel room. An adult male has been taken into custody and is facing multiple felony charges.

Later that same evening, officers responded to a vandalism report in the vicinity of Lemon Street and Valley View Drive. While patrolling the area, an officer spotted a suspect attempting to flee on foot. After a brief chase, the suspect was apprehended without further incident.

Just minutes following the foot pursuit, officers initiated a traffic stop near Orangethorpe Avenue and Magnolia Avenue. During the stop, a loaded firearm and illegal narcotics were discovered in the vehicle, leading to the driver’s arrest on several felony and misdemeanor charges.

In a separate case, officers were able to recover a stolen statue reported missing from a local residence. Quick investigative efforts resulted in the statue being returned to its rightful owner.

The recent arrests reflect the Fullerton Police Department’s commitment to enhancing public safety and effectively addressing crime in the community. The department encourages residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity as part of ongoing efforts to maintain a safe environment.

  1. I would like to know what the other arrests were for – you only mention four. What else is on the list to make up 30?
