An Immersive Experience 100 Years in the Making: Electric Company Theatre Presents The Centennial Project

Combining immersive theatre, original music, dance, and local history, the world premiere of The Centennial Project will be a different experience for each individual audience member and a celebration of our local history and community in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the Muckenthaler Mansion. Taking place in and around the historic mansion, the play focuses on local history in three very different experiences: a glimpse into Fullerton in 1925, the story of the Muckenthaler family, and an exciting underground bootlegging operation.

Audiences will be free to explore whichever rooms of the mansion they wish as they follow whichever characters they choose from a company of nearly thirty actors. History, dance, and magic collide as the audience decides what’s in the cards.

Conceived and directed by Co-Artistic Directors Brian and Callie Johnson, The Centennial Project includes original music composed by Shenelle Salcido and Emma Nevell, choreography by Emily Taylor and Camille Vargas, costume design by Natalie Oga, lighting design by Matt Mankiewicz, and stage management by Jordan Jones and Jordyn Galvan.

The Centennial Project will be performed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 7 pm, October 14November 5 with a special Thursday performance October 30 in the mansion of the Muckenthaler Cultural Center: 1201 W Malvern Ave, Fullerton CA 92833. Tickets are available for purchase for $45 plus fees at electriccompanytheatre.org.
