City of Fullerton Offers Free Trees to Residents for Parkway Planting

In an effort to enhance the city’s green spaces, the City of Fullerton is providing free trees to residents looking to beautify their parkways. This initiative aims to plant new trees in areas that currently lack them, promising a greener and more inviting neighborhood for all.

The Landscape & Tree team will take charge of the planting process, while residents contribute by committing to water the new trees during the warmer months. This initiative underscores the city’s dedication to fostering healthier urban environments.

Residents interested in participating can easily submit their requests. Once a request is made, the Landscape & Tree Division will inspect the parkways and add eligible homes to the planting list, with planting scheduled to commence early next year.

The benefits of this program are plentiful. Newly planted trees contribute to cleaner air, provide essential shade, and enhance the overall aesthetic of the streets throughout Fullerton.

To participate in this green initiative, residents can take the following steps:
– Open the MyFullertonApp and submit a request under Tree Trimming.
– Visit the city’s website to submit a request under Tree Trimming.
– Call the Public Works Maintenance line at (714) 738-6897.

For any questions, residents can reach out to City Arborist Julio Jacobo at (714) 738-5363, or Tree Services Inspector Cesar Regis at (714) 738-6724.

Join the City of Fullerton in its mission to cultivate a greener and cooler community for everyone to enjoy!
