On January 22, officers from the Fullerton Police Department (FPD) responded to a call from a resident who reported seeing a male brandishing a handgun in her apartment complex. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers quickly discovered that the situation involved federal immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who were attempting to apprehend a suspect linked to immigration violations.
The incident has sparked significant discussion and, in some cases, misinformation within the community regarding the FPD’s response. In light of these concerns, Chief Radus has spoken out to clarify the department’s actions and address the various issues that have emerged surrounding the event.
Chief Radus will make a presentation at the City Council meeting on February 3 at 5:30 pm. City Hall is located at 303 W Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton.

I watched the video through the youtube tab above and appreciate the additional info.
But still have questions.
1) The 911 caller says she is calling from the Pinetree Apts where she lives but doesn’t know the address? Seems odd.
2) 911 caller describes a hispanic male in white t-shirt stopping his white truck on Baker St, and then jumping over the complex fence with gun in left hand.
FPD said they had the abandoned vehicle towed – wouldn’t the registration ID the “supposed” man with gun?
3) If there was a gunman on the loose why wasn’t Woodcrest school put on lockdown?
4) If there was a gunman on the loose where were the usual helicopters and bullhorn warnings to neighbors?
5) ICE agents speaking with FPD seem very calm as do FPD considering gunman on the loose as the talk together in the video. And also seems odd that ICE agent asks FPD officer if they got the 911 call.
6) Seems FPD should be the lead about a gunman on the loose in our neighborhoods not ICE.
I’m happy to see how law enforcement (local FPD and federal ICE) worked together to protect our community! It’s not hard. It’s about protecting us here in Fullerton.
Someone abandoning their vehicle, jumping over a fence, holding a gun and running near residences including women and children is scary! So glad that both law enforcement agencies worked together on this. We need more of that cooperation to continue to keep our city safe!!!
Destiny -masked, unaccountable ICE agents who are breaking laws across the country, assaulting and detaining people, and actually killing some, breaking car windows, breaking into homes, beating people up – including innocent immigrants with green cards, those working towards full citizenship – which takes years, and even US citizens – abducting people from businesses they own or work at, church, stores, schools, courthouses, busstops, their homes – can not be compared to our well-trained Fullerton police officers.
California is a sanctuary state and it is illegal for actual law enforcement to work with federal ICE agents.
