Did you know that the City takes care of over 40,000 inventoried trees? Our urban forest is improving air quality, conserving energy, attenuating stormwater, and improving property values!

Fullerton’s first Arbor Day was held in 1971. In fact, Fullerton was one of the first cities in Orange County to receive the Tree City USA designation in 1981 by the National Arbor Day Foundation and among the first of six cities in California to receive such a designation statewide. Tree City USA is a national recognition program for sound urban forest management practices, sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters. We are proud to have earned this honor for nearly 45 years and partner with local community members to host an Arbor Day event, usually in March or April.

The city asks you to support and participate in our Arbor Day events and help take good care of trees throughout the City! To learn more about it, contact the Maintenance Service office at (714) 738-6897 or email maintenance@cityoffullerton.com.
