Light the Mic celebrates creativity, community, and self-expression during the Downtown Fullerton Artwalk. Stop by to see performers take the stage to showcase poetry and the arts with specialty cocktails and assorted drinks.
Doors open at 6:45pm, with performances beginning at 7:15pm.
Come enjoy an inspiring night of live performances and cheer on local talent!

Above: Featured Poet – Camille Hernandez is Anaheim’s third Poet Laureate (2024-2026), the first Black and Filipina woman to hold the position. She authored the books “Motherlands” (Finishing Line Press, 2025). “The Hero and the Whore” (Westminster John Knox Press, 2023). Camille’s writing honors the women who kept their secrets intact and their altars clean. She is a fellow of The Watering Hole, an inaugural fellow of the McCormack Writing Institute (formerly Tin House) and an inaugural fellow of Roots.Wounds.Words.

Below: Featured Poet – José Enrique Medina earned his BA in English from Cornell University. His chapbook “Haunt Me” won the 2025 Rattle Chapbook Prize. His work has appeared in USA Today Hispanic Living and Best Microfiction 2019, and he is the founder of the Chickens & Poetry Residency for Writers.
