A community-oriented discussion is set to take place at 6:30pm on April 30, at the Fullerton Library Conference Center, focusing on the potential of creating affordable housing on land owned by religious organizations in light of California’s new SB 4 legislation.
This collaborative event aims to inform religious leaders and community stakeholders about the complexities and opportunities presented by SB 4. The legislation opens avenues for utilizing church property and other religious sites to address the pressing housing crisis in California.
Attendees can expect a comprehensive overview of how SB 4 impacts religious organizations and the frameworks available for developing affordable housing on their properties. The discussion will cover the myriad benefits as well as the challenges involved, highlighted by real-world examples of successful projects.
Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to engage in an open discussion, participate in a Q&A session, and network with National Core, a recognized affordable housing developer.
