City of Fullerton Invites Bids for Street Rehabilitation Project

The City of Fullerton has announced the opening of bids for the ambitious SUNNY HILLS – TWILIGHT – E LAS PALMAS AREA STREET REHABILITATION project. This public infrastructure initiative aims to enhance local roads and pedestrian access in the targeted neighborhoods.

Bid packages are now accessible through OpenGov, a digital bidding platform that allows potential bidders to register at no cost. Interested parties can find further details and register at the [OpenGov Procurement Portal](https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityoffullerton) or by visiting the City of Fullerton’s official website.

Sealed proposals must be submitted through the OpenGov Procurement Portal by 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Shortly after the deadline, submitted bids will be publicly opened and recorded. Notably, any bid submitted through other means will not be considered.

The project scope includes critical upgrades, including the removal and replacement of existing concrete curbs, sidewalks, gutters, sewer manholes, and asphalt pavement. Additional tasks will involve constructing accessible pedestrian ramps, pavement striping, and signage, as well as adjusting valve boxes and manholes. Water pollution control measures will also be implemented as part of the project.

According to the City’s Public Works officials, the entire project must be finished within sixty-five working days, as outlined in the Standard Specifications for Public Works, 2024 Edition. To emphasize the importance of timely completion, the City has established liquidated damages at $1,000 for each calendar day the project runs over schedule.

The Engineer’s estimate of the total cost of the project is approximately $2,840,000. Bidders must hold a valid Classification “A” contractor license when submitting their proposals.
