The Fullerton Police Department was notified on June 5, 2026, at approximately 12:57 am that officers from the Anaheim Police Department were in pursuit of a vehicle that had entered the City of Fullerton. The pursuit ended in the parking lot of the OCTA Park and Ride, located at 3000 W. Orangethorpe Ave.
The suspect vehicle, a silver 1996 Toyota Corolla, collided with a pole during the pursuit. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The identity of the driver will be released by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
Fullerton Police officers were not involved in the pursuit, but responded to the scene shortly after the collision to assist.
The collision remains under investigation, and the exact cause is still being reviewed.
