For years, the World War II Memorial at Hillcrest Park has slowly weathered over time. Now, thanks to a careful restoration, it’s ready to once again stand as a fitting tribute to the more than 50 servicemen whose names it bears.

Erected in 1946, just a year after the war’s end, the memorial holds names carefully recorded by the Izaak Walton League, a lasting record of local residents who answered the call to serve.

Eighty-one years after the war’s end, please join us as we celebrate the memorial’s restoration and honor the men it commemorates. All are welcome. Bring your family, your neighbors, and your gratitude.
