Progressive Takeover Polls Fullerton Residents on October 17 “No Kings” Events

The October 17 events are part of a nationwide “No Kings: Vote Early” action organized by the No Kings coalition. According to the organizers, this round of events is focused not only on demonstrations but also on encouraging eligible voters to make a voting plan and participate in the November 2026 midterm elections. Organizers describe the events as nonpartisan and say they are intended to increase voter participation.

The No Kings organization says its events are committed to nonviolent and lawful participation and asks attendees to avoid confrontation and de-escalate disagreements.

A local Fullerton-area connection to the October 17 effort was discussed at a September meeting of Indivisible CA45. The group announced plans to organize a local “NO KINGS” event in Brea, with an emphasis on encouraging voters to vote early and use a vote center or official ballot drop box.

Events have also been scheduled elsewhere in Orange County and Southern California, including Huntington Beach and Seal Beach. A Seal Beach event is scheduled for noon to 2 pm October 17 at Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street.

The October 17 action represents the latest phase of the No Kings movement, which has held previous nationwide demonstrations. Organizers say the new “Vote Early” effort is intended to shift the focus toward voter participation ahead of the November 3 election.
The Progressive Takeover poll provides an opportunity for Fullerton residents to indicate whether they intend to participate in an October 17 event in their area.

For information about officially listed events, the No Kings organization maintains a nationwide event map and registration information. https://www.nokings.org/
