The protest planned for Monday, October 5, by Indivisible CA-45 in Brea has been postponed, as weather forecasts indicate temperatures are set to exceed 90 degrees.
Described by organizers as one of the longest-running continuous protests in the region, this demonstration has garnered national attention, including a notable feature on “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
The protest is now rescheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, when cooler temperatures are anticipated. In the meantime, organizers encourage supporters to take advantage of the delay to review their ballots and consider early voting.
This regular public demonstration has become a vital platform for political engagement, highlighting both local and national issues and providing residents an opportunity to voice their opinions.
Participants are urged to prioritize safety in the extreme heat and plan to return for the rescheduled protest in October.
