The City of Fullerton invites residents and community members to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s military veterans at its annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
The celebration will begin at 10:00 am with a parade traveling north along Harbor Boulevard, beginning on Berkeley Avenue and ending at Hillcrest Park’s Great Lawn. A commemorative ceremony will follow, bringing together veterans, military families, community organizations, and residents to recognize those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The City of Fullerton welcomes local military veterans to participate in this year’s parade. Veterans interested in marching are invited to check in between 8:00 am and 9:00 am at the designated staging area on Berkeley Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Lemon Street. Please note that parade participation is limited to marching participants; personal vehicles will not be permitted.
This year’s ceremony will feature Colonel (Retired) Chris Schaefer, U.S. Army Reserve, as the keynote speaker. In addition to his military service, Colonel Schaefer currently serves as the City of Fullerton’s Planning Manager. His experience as both a military veteran and public servant reflects the enduring values of leadership, dedication, and service to others.
The ceremony will include traditional military honors, a Presentation of Colors, the National Anthem, an Armed Forces Medley, and a ceremonial wreath-laying. The program will also feature a rifle salute and the playing of Taps in solemn remembrance of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Veterans Day provides an opportunity for the community to reflect on the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of those who have defended our nation. Through this annual tradition, the City of Fullerton continues its commitment to honoringveterans and preserving the legacy of their service for future generations.
Residents are encouraged to attend and join the City in paying tribute to our nation’s veterans. Motorists should anticipate temporary road closures and traffic impacts along Harbor Boulevard during the parade.
