Take a drive down Brea Canyon Road and you will be treated to a beautiful sight–the Brea Hills are blanketed with yellow wildflowers. It’s our own local “super bloom.” Here are some photos of the hills. Can you name the yellow flowers?

It’s an invasive species. Yay…?
Name it? Mustardweed. I know because I grew up with it on Little Mountain before all the houses got built. The whole field was full of it and they grazed sheep on it. (Cal State San Bernardino is nearby there).
